We are enjoying learning about colours and patterns by reading stories about ‘Elmer’ the elephant. We made milk carton Elmers and decorated them in a checkerboard pattern with different coloured tissue paper. We also explored colour mixing using the three primary colours red, blue and yellow. P3 extended their colour mixing by creating shades of one colour using varying amounts of black or white paint.
