Our new topic is Cold Lands. We began by studying the globe to identify land and sea. The children noticed certain parts of the globe were white. We watched a video clip explaining what and where Antarctica and the Arctic were and that they are sometimes called “The North Pole” or “The South Pole”. We also learned that polar bears and penguins live in different cold lands - penguins live in the Southern Hemisphere and polar bears live in the Northern Hemisphere. We finished by making our own globe showing where the Cold lands were. We are excited to learn more!
