P2 have been learning how to use a dictionary. They began by learning letter names in the alphabet, ordering letters and playing mixed up letter games. They also worked in groups to produce a silly sentence alphabet poem. They then explored the layout of a dictionary and how to use it. They learned that a dictionary is organised in alphabetical order and it can help us spell words and find out what words mean. They worked in pairs to create their own definitions for words in the dictionary and ended with a dictionary challenge where they had to find the answers to some questions in the dictionary. Fantastic work P2 😀
