We warmed up for today’s activity by playing Hawks and Birds. We discussed the natural resources used by birds to make their nests. We thought about how and what a bird could carry. We identified aspects of the environment that might be important to birds and their safety. In our groups we collected materials to make a nest in our school grounds. We discussed where the bird might position their nest in order for it to be safe from predators. We had so much fun creating our nests and working together to produce a shared result.
